Helen Philp

Team Manager/Reserve

Living in a small village half way between Edinburgh & Perth called Milnathort which is on the banks of Loch Leven gives me lots of opportunities to go fly fishing. Married for 38yrs with 2 children, James & Amy and 2 gorgeous grandsons Corey & Ryan.

I work as an Assistant Manager in a local business and I am also a 1st Responder. I started fly fishing 28 yrs ago encouraged by my husband Richard; little did he know what he would create. I enjoy fly fishing from boat, bank & river and I'm always looking for new challenges.

I have competed in home Internationals, 5 Nations & Commonwealth matches too many times & my passion is to encourage & help other anglers male or female enjoy the art of fly fishing whether it be for competition or fun. Looking forward to seeing old & new friends & enjoying the renowned Irish hospitality. Tight Lines

I have been fishing for over 25yrs and have had the privilege of fishing for Scotland Ladies on several occasions. I have 15 caps for International matches and this year will be my 5th Commonwealth competition.

I am also honoured to be Captain again this year - my team mates said I didn't do very well last time, so they are giving me a second chance. I'm really looking forward to this years Commonwealth Match in Northern Ireland.

I started fly fishing 10 yrs ago and since then I have managed to achieve four International caps for Scotland.

This year will be my 2nd Commonwealth cap so I'm really looking forward to meeting up with everyone again in Northern Ireland.

I live in the great city of Edinburgh and started fly fishing with my father for wild brown trout and salmon. I find it to be enjoyable and the relaxation of fly fishing, whether on a reservoir, loch or river is my passion but I much prefer the thrill of salmon fishing.

I have been fly fishing for approximately 20 yrs, I am passionate about going after wild brown trout.

Through fishing I have met a lot of amazing people and have been to some beautiful places.

I am so looking forward to adding yet another angling experience to my list this year in Northern Ireland.
