Fly tying is another passion which has served the team well on occasions.

Richard is a colourful, flamboyant and great addition to the team where his great humour and endeavour led to the legendary Yorkshire tea bag tossing competition!!

Bob couldn't believe his luck when his daughter married a very keen angler and ,with no rivers on any of the Channel Islands, thoughts of the Jamaican Bobsleigh Team spring to mind !!

Darren is very much looking forward to this competition and is very honoured to represent the Channel Islands.

Peter Evans

Peter’s passion for fly fishing started more than 30 years ago in the scenic region of Mpumalanga, South Africa. The introduction to the sport came from his father, an avid fly-fisher and together many a water was explored and adventure had.

Peter now lives in the beautiful island of Jersey, where he has been for the past 17 years working in the finance industry. This in turn afforded Peter the opportunity to fish local waters and participates in domestic events.

The close proximity of trout waters on the island lends itself to frequent fishing opportunities, collaborating with fellow anglers and a passionate fishing fraternity.

This is Peter’s first international event, and is extremely honoured to be part of the team.

As Peter has followed in the footsteps of his father, he is equally proud that his young daughter and understanding wife share the same love of the sport and nature. Perhaps one day his daughter will represent Jersey in a ladies team!
